Musing About Things: #30DaysOfBookstagram

Hi guys, welcome to Book Munchies’ Musing about Things: A Discussion (Post). Inspired by memes such as Should Be Reading‘s Musing Monday & Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s Caffeinated Confessions (etc.), this is a Book Munchies discussion post, where I’ll be rambling about (mostly) book-related things and hopefully you guys will join in on the fun too (:

So today’s topic is: #30DaysOfBookstagram

If you guys don’t know yet, Bookmunchies is on INSTAGRAM!
And I’m currently trying to do the bookish photo challenge: August’s #30daysofbookstagram!

I figured I share with you my photos today (:

Day 1: August TBR | I still haven’t read any of these yet, but I still have time right! 😉
Day 2: favourite first line | Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake – “The grease-slicked hair is a dead giveaway – no pun intended.”
Day 3: A Book You’d Take Poolside | Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson – Here’s a book I took to the Lagoon while I was in Cairns, Australia!
Day 4: A book with an outfit | The Distance Between Us by Kasie West & a red dress with black pumps – I loved her shoes on the cover so much, I actually bought myself a pair, haha <3
Day 5: A chapter/title page | The Diviners by Libba Bray This book seriously has the most gorgeous designs.
Day 6: Your local library | I didn’t get a chance to go to the library in time for the photo, but here’s a picture of mangas that I got from my local library!
Day 7: A book with a pattern | The Forsaken by Lisa M Strasse – Geometric counts as patterns right? haha.

Day 8: Today’s book progress

I forget to do this one, oops!

Day 9: Recommended Series | The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress) – Seriously, this is easily one of my favourite series, and I recommend it to everyone! Everyone read it!!
Day 10: Minimalistic | Stardust by Neil Gaiman (ft. LSP of Adventure Time! b/c she’s a star, too) – I love this edition, the cover is so simple and pretty!

So that’s the first ten days so far! I hope you enjoyed them (: Let me know what you think! If you’re on instragram and is doing the challenge too, I’d love to see your photos, so link me up!

Also, feel free to share with me what your book of choices are for each day! I would love to know – like your favourite first lines (which I actually did a Musing About Things post for, b/c I love great opening lines so much, haha)

or your pool side picks!

or what your favourite minimalistic cover is! (I just love minimalistic cover, like the Lunar Chronicles, too!)

or a series you would recommend!

  1. Great pictures – the spines on the Lunar Chronicles are brilliant!

    1. Thanks! Agree, they’re so pretty (as is the front ;))

  2. What a great idea! I’m not on Instagram, but I may borrow some of those prompts for future posts. The Forsaken has a very compelling cover!

    1. Definitely do! Can’t wait to see them (:

  3. I haven’t made it out to Instagram so far. I think I will once I get a smart phone. The Lunar Chronicles is a great recommendation. I love that series.

    1. Thanks for the follow!

  6. I always want to do these, but I just know I’ll forget and/or get too lazy. I need to read Ruin & Rising and Pivot Point too! I listened to the audiobook for The Diviners (which was fantastic) so I missed out on the prettiness of the design… Now I want a copy just to look at. 😀 I’m following you on Instagram now, I’ll see them every day!

    1. I meant to do this in July, but got lazy, haha. I’m surprised I’ve only missed on day! I’ve had Pivot Point on my TBR for so long, I just need to get on it!
The Diviner book is sooo pretty! It’s totally worth having a copy for 😉
      I’m following back (:

  7. I’ve seen this challenge and it looks like so much fun, but I didn’t want to flood my non-bookish friends with book photos. OMG I hope you read Written in Red soon, it is freaking fantastic. I love your hardbacks of the Cinder series as well, freaking amazing!
