Sunday Post (112) / Stacking the Shelves (92)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Kim here (again?!),

Yesterday was gorgeous! Spent some time soaking in the sun before work while reading The Start of Me and You (which is super cute btw, love it). I want the weather to keep up, but it’s supposed to rain/thunderstorm this coming week. Boo because no outdoor reading. But huzzah for that awesome rainy day reading ambiance.

Maybe it’s the good weather or the good vibes, but I’ve been super drawn to romantic, happy books recently. To the point where I’m buying some for my collection. Which totes goes against my book buying moratorium. Ah, well. Books!

Last week I mentioned the bookstore, Blue Bunny Books in Dedham, MA, will be hosting a YA panel on May 30th. More excitingly, I will have the amazing opportunity to interview with some of the authors, Lori Goldstein, Trisha Leaver, and Lee Kelly. Very excited to sit down and talk with these Freshman Fifteen authors!

  1. I love that the weather is so nice right now. I love Spring! I have heard great things about The Start of Me And You. I am glad you are enjoying it. 🙂

  2. Kasie West books are faves of mine. They are all adorable and fluffy so I hope you enjoy them! Happy reading! 😀

  3. I really need to read an Emery Lord book soon, *everyone* seems to love them and I love how cute they sound.

  4. I’ve heard really great things about that Heather Demetrios book. I LOVED On The Fence, it would definitely suit your mood for a bubbly happy read at the moment! Have an awesome week ahead!

  5. YAY for getting to read outside. I LOVE reading outside. And I can’t wait to go to the beach in about 6 weeks to do just that. I really enjoyed The Distance Between Us, On the Fence, and If I Stay. Enjoy your new books! Have a great week!

  6. Oh man. I wish it would rain here. The last rainfall we got was in December. Although it is always nice sitting outside in the sun, reading a good book. 🙂

  7. I loved The Start of Me and You and I hope you do too! Open Road Summer was one of my favorite YA novels of 2014.

I’m enjoying the warmer sunny weather too and I think it does make me want to read happier books also. Unfortunately my TBR pile has a lot of darker books on it but I’ll need to mix things up with lighter books too.

  8. I love some of Nora Robert’s older titles and find myself wanting to read them during this time of year as well! It has been awhile so I should go dig around and see what I already have on my shelves. It sounds wonderful to spend some quiet time reading outside. Have a great week!

  9. I’ve been wanting to read some romance favorites lately. I guess this time of year just calls for happy endings and witty banter. It’s been rainy or gloomy for the past few days here as well and it definitely provides great reading ambiance but I do hate being stuck inside when the temps are finally getting warm enough! Have a great week!

  10. I got the egalley of Illuminae this week! You should go find it on Edelweiss I think.
    Check out my Sunday Post

  11. Great haul this week. I really liked on the fence

I hope you enjoy 🙂 Happy Reading!
