Sunday Post (113) / Stacking the Shelves (93)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

April has been a bit of a weird weather roller coaster ride: hot one week and cold another week. This week has been cold and it looks like it’s about to rain, although it hasn’t yet (fortunately! It’s kind of hard to remember to bring an umbrella with you all the time when you live in a state that is always sunny). I’ve been having a bit of problem hoarding my books instead of reading them lately, but slowly I’m catching up on all the books.

The READS & Announcements

Read/Currently reading:

[Read] Not in the Script by Amy Finnegan: 4 of 5 stars. It was just adorable and I think it’s my favorite in the series so far.

  1. I had to laugh at the ‘hoarding your books rather than reading them’ comment cos I feel exactly the same. My TBR pile doesn’t seem to diminish AT ALL and yet I’m having to put a pause on reading as I’m behind with my reviews. It seems I’m stuck in a vicious circle. Thankfully I love the reading bit so am happy to deal with the ‘MUST-FINISH-REVIEW’ angst!

  2. lol – I love how you add the question marks for next weeks schedule. Ah, I need to read some more Jessi Kirby too.

  3. I need to get my hands on Things We Know By Heart. It’s my most anticipated book of the year and I don’t know why I haven’t got my hands on it! The Winners Crime I am so looking forward to reading. Happy Reading.

  4. I’m with Christy… not being sure which posts will actually happen is kind of fun, but at the same time, very accurate (for me, too!) a lot of the time.

I hope you’ll enjoy your new books, Jackie. Have a wonderful week ahead, happy reading.

  5. Oh I can totally feel you about the hoarding instead of reading! Sometimes I find hoarding is a hobby in itself lol! I really loved The Winner’s Crime, be prepared for the big cliffhanger!

  6. I love the question marks as well next to this weeks posts. I just started my blog back up last month after almost a year away, I am currently reading ARC’s for May and June release dates! Have a great week!

  7. The weather has been a bit gloomy here for the past two weeks. But surprisingly yesterday was really nice if a bit humid. Hope you enjoy your new books. I actually enjoyed Things We Know by Heart better than I was expecting to! Have a great week!

  8. I know what you mean by weather roller coaster. Earlier this week we randomly got hail! It’s been gloomy here as well but it looks like this week will be fairly sunny. I’m really curious about The Winner’s Crime series. Enjoy your reads and have a great week!

  9. The Start of Me & You looks like a feel good book.

  10. Great haul this week! Things We Know by Heart and Moonglass are two I’ve been wanting to read for a while. I’ve heard pretty good things about Jessi Kirby’s books but I’ve never read them, so I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts. Happy reading!

  11. I blog ahead a lot so have a pretty good idea of what I’ll be posting each week. Then I usually pop in a few fun ones.
You have some wonderful new reads. Enjoy!

    My Sunday Post –

  12. You picked up some good ones! I just purchased The Winner’s Curse a couple weeks ago, and haven’t gotten to it yet. Here’s my STS! 🙂

  13. SCOUNDREL is an overused word in titles these days – it’s right up there with ROGUE; don’t you think?!

  14. I think The Things We Know by Heart looks excellent! I can’t wait to read it.

I hope you enjoy 🙂 Happy Reading!
