Sunday Post (121) / Stacking the Shelves (101)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Happy Father’s Day! I hope you guys are hanging out with your fathers on this lovely 1st day of summer. We have summer almost all year round here in Cali so the 1st day of summer is nothing special. Sometimes during the hot summer months I wish I lived in cool places like Minnesota or Michigan. But, then when I think of the winter snow storms it makes me kind of glad that I live in a state where I don’t have to worry about shoving snow during the winter or bundling up like a snowman.

  1. I’m with you, I couldn’t handle a climate where shovelling snow would be part of my morning routine! Hope you enjoy your new books, I loved Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke and The Murder Complex is on my TBR.

  2. The weather’s a bit the same where I live in Australia (Queensland) winter day temperatures are around 20C so it never gets too cold. People complain when nights get below 10C.

  3. That’s so odd, we seem to have a different Father’s Day to the rest of the world! I was frustrated with The Murder Complex though.

I love So Cali weather. Except marine or inversion layers.

  5. I can see how lack of seasons would get a little old but I have no desire to live in a place that gets a lot of snow! We got a few inches every year or so and that’s more than enough! Have a great week!

  6. I’d so love your weather, in Scotland we can have four seasons in one day!

    Have a great week!

  7. Iowa’s pretty awesome, Jackie. Not near as much snow and cold as MN and Michigan. It’s further south. 🙂

  8. I’m listening to the Mindy Kaling book right now, so funny! I need to get ahold of the sequel to the Murder Complex. Hope you love Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke, I loved those books!
    Check out my Sunday Post

  9. Great haul! I have wanted to read The Murder Complex for a while now so I will be looking forward to your thoughts on it.
