Sunday Post (125) / Stacking the Shelves (105)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Because I was totally feeling bummed about being “behind” on my reading schedule, I decided to set my goodreads challenge back to 100 instead of challenging myself to read 195 books. So, according to goodreads I’m now back on track and it feels good. I seriously don’t know why I stress myself out with this challenge. It’s a challenge not a life or death thing and I think I tend to forget that hence the stress. I think from now on my goal will be 100 books each year. I heard that the average books read per year for most people is like 5 or something, which is kind of depressing. However, I’m sure the average is different for us book lovers.

  1. Can’t wait to hear what you guys think of Go Set A Watchman!

(I keep wanting to write Go Tell A Watchman – not sure why.:)

  2. I feel like I should really read Harper Lee’s book seeing as though everyone is talking about them

  3. Definitely smart to set your Goodreads Challenge back. I’m get stressed out about mine as well and I hate that I’m behind even though I know I’m at a pace I can catch up. Have a great week!

  4. I totally shuffle my GR challenge around when I feel like it as well! hopefully it alleviates some reading pressure 🙂

  5. Will be interested to see what you think of Go Set A Watchman. I always try to set my GR goal just about 5 books more than I did the year before. The one time I tried to set it way ahead I had the same thing happen to me.
