Sunday Post (126) / Stacking the Shelves (106)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

It’s almost August and I don’t know why but it’s making me excited (possibly because the holidays are getting closer?). I’m not a particular fan of July. July is that one month that always seem to go slow for me, especially after the Fourth of July weekend. What I’m really looking forward to is the cool weather heading here in September aka autumn, but considering that this is California we’re talking about, California never is cool when you want it to be cool.

  1. I don’t like the cold, so I’m glad it doesn’t get too cold here in my part of CA. Except when we get those dang freezes during the winter. Have a great week an enjoy your reading.

    1. I feel grateful that we can spend Christmas at the beach when other parts of the country are freezing and shoveling snow. But, I’m not a fan of the cold weather either. It would be nice if CA is cool and not super hot and humid throughout the summer.

  2. It is scary that it is nearly August! It will soon be Christmas!!!

    Have a great week!

    1. I know! I’m already planning what to get people for Christmas this year and it’s still summer. Scary.

  3. I always loved August but now I am not so sure as I live in the northeast and it just means that the summer will be over soon:( Have a great week and enjoy your books.

  4. July does seem to drag and we’ve hit really the peak of summer temperature wise where even I get a bit tired of heat! I’m jumping over to go look at your Art of Sinning Review. This wasn’t my favorite but I always love Sabrina Jeffries!

  5. I am so ready for cooler weather as well! Hope you have a great week!
    Check out my STS

  6. I feel you on the cooler weather. Los Angeles has been so weird. Last week the weather was kind of nice, but this week it’s supposed to be hotter. I keep hoping we’ll have a cool fall, since winter was so warm this year.

    1. I know. The mornings have been really nice, but the afternoons are terrible. I hope you keep hydrated and stay in cooler places throughout the day. Crossing my fingers for cool fall temperature too. Really? I thought it felt cooler this winter with the rain and all.
