Sunday Post (131) / Stacking the Shelves (111)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

September is getting to be pretty sweet. The weather is definitely getting cooler in our end here in LA and I’m crossing fingers that the cool weather will last until we actually hit fall (though I doubt that would happen haha). I was at the hospital earlier this week and let me tell you not being able to read for a couple of hours while waiting for the doctor to come and while waiting for the IV to finish dripping sucked because it got so boring. It’s actually difficult to read with two IVs attached to you rather than just one.

  1. Hi Jackie – hope all was okay with your hospital visit and I’m glad it’s starting to cool down there. Of course here in Australia it’s the opposite and I’m dreading the warmer weather!

    1. Thanks Deborah! It went okay. I hope the weather doesn’t get too warm for you quickly.

  2. I can imagine how boring it was, but why not try audio books too ? I know I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on them while doing something else, but for situations like these, they seem perfect. Have a great week-end, I hope that cool weather will last 🙂

    1. I get so easily distracted so audiobooks won’t work for me.

  3. I hope everything is okay! I’ve read a few of Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series – and they’re light, easy reads. Enjoy!

    1. I might try that series sometimes. Thanks Maree!

  4. I hope you are okay. Hospital visits are no fun, but when you can’t read during them is even worse.

    1. Thanks signourney! Definitely.

  5. Hope everything is okay after the hospital visit! I can imagine it’d be pretty impossible to read with 2 IVs. It’s hard enough with just 1! Have a great week!

  6. Ooh, hope you’re enjoying Splintered, I loved it! Revenge and the Wild does sound like a good one. And wow, it would suck to not get to read while you’re just sitting and waiting, especially at the hospital when I’m sure it would have helped get your mind off it.
    Check out my Sunday Post

  7. Oh my. I hope your hospital visit was successful and you are feeling better. The weather is steamy hot here and not letting up any time soon. That’s okay with me as I don’t like cold:)

  8. I hope you’re healing well/getting better! Hopefully you can get back into the swing of things in no time. I’ve not read any of Kinsella’s books, though I have that one that published this year! I hope you enjoy your new book!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fabulous week – and best of luck with school. 🙂
