Sunday Post (146) / Stacking the Shelves (126)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Recently I’ve been addicted to this app called Neko Atsume. Basically it’s where you try to lure cats into your backyard and you buy stuff with the fishes they give you. It’s a super cute, mindless game. Also, haven’t seen the new Star Wars movie yet but I want to. Most likely that’ll happen when the DVD comes out because I’m not a fan of crowds. Speaking of DVDs, I’ve finally saw Paper Towns a couple of weeks ago and I have rather mixed feelings about it. The book wasn’t my favorite. I actually had some trouble getting through some of John Green’s books.

  1. That app sounds fun… and I wanted to see Paper Towns. Guess I’ll have to stream it or get the DVD…

    1. I hope you enjoy the movie better than I did.

  2. Not getting any new books can be a blessing, Jackie! I’m sure you won’t run out of books to read anyway 🙂
Have a wonderful holiday and happy reading!

    1. That’s true. I still have tons to read. Thank you and you too Lexxie.

I feel the exact same about John Green. I gave him 3 chances (TFIOS, Paper Towns & Looking For Alaska) and I’m not that impressed. Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns are rather similar. I think the movie for Paper Towns did a good job at adapting the story, but I still can’t stand Margo haha

Here is my The Sunday Post!

    1. lol The only book I did like from John Green is The Fault in Our Stars, his other books were mediocre and just didn’t hold my interest. Ahaha I found Margo to be an okay character, but it’s almost easy to forget that she’s in the movie because she’s not there for the majority of it until the end of the movie.

  4. The last Harry Potter book, so good! The Paper Towns story never seemed like something I’d enjoy, although I did like Looking for Alaska and the Fault in Our Stars.
    Check out my Sunday Post

    1. Right? It took a while to reread the series, but I appreciated Deathly Hallows so much more this time around than when I first read it. I think some of his books can be a hit or miss, but I’m glad that you enjoyed Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars.

  5. The new Star Wars movie is AWESOME! I loved it so much. That app sounds super cute Jackie!

    1. That’s great to hear you loved it Jeann. I’m kind of scared about not liking it because so many people love it, but we’ll see.

  6. I’m not a fan of big crowds either. We’re waiting a bit for the super Star Wars fans to get in and see it, then we’ll try to go on an off day/time when it won’t be so busy. Enjoy it, when you do get to see it 🙂

    1. I hope when you go the theater will be less crowded and that you enjoy the show. 🙂
