Sunday Post (147) / Stacking the Shelves (127)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Christmas has come and gone and while we didn’t get a White Christmas here in Cali, it was pretty chilly and winter-like so I’m okay with that. Christmas isn’t a big deal in my family. Sometimes we exchange presents and sometimes we don’t, but we do eat all the delicious food. Have any of you made your 2016 resolutions yet? Mine includes to not be a picky eater and go to the Wizarding World in Hollywood (because it officially opens on April 7th and I’m excited and haven’t gone to the one in Florida yet). For bookish resolutions I plan to reread some of my favorite childhood books and go to more bookish events.

    1. That’s good to hear and hope you have a good week as well.

  2. We eat all the delicious food, too! Once you hit about 14 or so in my family, Christmas no longer exists for you. I never have understood that. Eventually the little kids are going to catch on. Then where will Santa be?

I hope you have a wonderful new year!

    1. I hope you at least get to exchange presents though.

      Thanks and same to you.

Just curious, where do you live in California? I live here too and it has definitely been pretty cold, but we obviously don’t get a white Christmas living by the beach haha

oh and Here is my The Sunday Post! 🙂

    2. Yay! Always happy to find another Cali reader. I live around the LA area and you? That is true, but at least we are able to enjoy the beach during Christmas without it being too cold.

  4. I’m glad to hear the weather felt Christmas-y by you! We didn’t get a white Christmas in Chicago either and it was actually unusually warm for us this year (around 50 degrees!). Not complaining though. The snow can stay away this year. 😛

I need to decide what my book-ish and blogging resolutions will be for 2016 still. Doing some re-reads sounds like an excellent idea.

    1. I heard it was pretty warm over on the other side this year, but I’m glad that you’re enjoying the warm weather.
