Sunday Post (153) / Stacking the Shelves (133)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Happy Lunar/Chinese New Year to those who celebrate! I love Chinese New Year. I find that it’s so much more festive than New Year. Last week was a semi-quiet week at work. I love seeing the progress how we’re so busy at the beginning of the week but by the end of the week there’s not that much work and then the vicious cycle continues again. I find it amusing how even though I’m shelving the same books every other day at work I can get distracted by the same books that I hold no interest in reading.

  1. I am reading Stars Above right now!! I love it!!

    1. Glad you are enjoying it!

  2. It’s almost the same at work : busy beginning of week (public-wise) but slower thursdays and fridays. Saturdays are tough, though. Enjoy your week-end 🙂

    1. Saturdays are definitely tough. You’d think that since Saturday is towards the end of the week it’d be the same as Thursdays and Fridays, but Saturday is in its own category I guess.

  3. I’ve never read Little House on the Prairie, though we watched the show all the time when I was a kid. I really should read the book with my kids!

    1. Definitely. The books made me exciting about reading when I was a kid. I hope they enjoy when you read it to them.

  4. Great Haul! You got so many amazing books. Happy reading 🙂

    1. Thank you.

  5. Happy Chinese New Year!

I am glad you liked Passenger. I just got it from the library. I also have Truthwitch checked out and want to read it soon. I am also hoping to read Stars Above at some point and may just buy it since I own the other books (except Fairest which I didn’t like as much).

Working at the library means constantly being surrounded by interesting (and not so interesting) books. I often take home stacks of books but don’t always have the time to read them. I tend to busier at the beginning and end of the work week and the middle sometimes seems to drag. Right now I am busy planning events for spring and the adult summer reading program and trying to stay on top of ordering new materials.

    Have a great week!

  6. The Lunar Chronicles are calling me. I’m in line for the audio of another book but I think I’m going to add Cinder to list. Seeing progress is always a good thing. It always makes me happy. Have a great week!

I need to read Truthwitch! It’s been sitting on my shelf since it came out but for some reason, while I was super excited for it to release, once it did I had no desire to read it xD haha whoops!

    Here is my Sunday Post

  8. I have heard mixed reviews about Passenger, but I will be getting it at my library because I do think I would like it. Have a great week.

  9. I haven’t read any of the books about Little House on the Prairie, but I do want to read some. Enjoy your week, and thanks for sharing. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  10. Stars Above has such a great cover! I haven’t finished the series, but I would buy the books for the covers alone. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    Have a fabulous week. 🙂

I used to remember when the Chinese New Year was, but somehow it’s slipped by me the last couple years. I’m not even sure which animal year we’re in now. I hope you have a great week! Happy reading!
