Sunday Post (166) / Stacking the Shelves (146)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Happy Mother’s Day to all my readers who are also mothers and if you’re not a mother go hug your moms and tell them they are awesome. My mom is awesome because she supports my reading habits by driving me to the bookstore on release days to get a book I’ve been anticipating forever. Anyways, last weekend was YALLWEST and while I missed getting a Heartless ARC on Saturday, because I woke up a little late (thank you public transportation for making me wake up super early just to go to an event that’s two hours away), I was better prepared on Sunday and lined up all the lines. I’m not too crazy about waking up on a weekend at 6AM, but I guess that’s how we bookworms roll when it comes to books. Anyways I had an okay  time at YALLWEST and ended up going to both days this year. I’m glad that book festivals are over for the year though. Time to save money for traveling.

    Here’s my StS & Recap

    1. Thanks, it was.

  2. Enjoy your books! The Conspiracy of Us sounds tempting.

My daughter is taking me to brunch today in honor of Mother’s Day, and I got some goodies from my sons.

My mother is no longer with us, but I still fondly remember times together…and how she fueled my love of reading by regularly taking me to the library when I was a kid.

Thanks for sharing your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. The Conspiracy of Us was really good, I hope you get the chance to read it. Sounds like you had a lovely Mother’s day and sorry to hear about your mother, but glad that you have great memories of her.

  3. Ooo, Yallwest! I so want to go someday. Wrong coast, unfortunately! I’m reading This Savage Song next and can’t wait to dive in. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
