Sunday Post (172) / Stacking the Shelves (152)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Happy Father’s Day! I hope you all have an awesome day with your dads. We’re in the triple digits here in SoCal and I’m not happy about it, but it’s the inevitable since it’s summer. Though there are good things about summer like the longer days (if there is one thing I hate is getting home from work at 6PM and it’s all dark already), eating all the ice cream, and drinking ice tea. Anyways, it’s been a pretty good week at work and I’m looking forward to next week even if it means that we’re going to be pretty busy.

  1. I enjoy warmer weather but not when it is that hot! We’ve only had temps in the upper 80s where I live. I do enjoy the excuse to dig in to my nondairy ice cream too. 🙂

Hope you have a great week!

  2. Oh man. Thankfully I live close to the ocean so I get the cool breeze but I stopped in my tracks when I was in the store and their display TV showed that we’d be in the triple digits. I thought it was a mistake but considering I woke up this AM to a warm breeze, I think it’s safe to say it’s happening. I heard tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest for us (at least in my area). Stay cool!

  3. We’ve had some triple digits but not too bad. What’s killing me is the humidity. My hair is twice its normal size which is not a good luck! I definitely prefer hotter and more daylight to cold and dark all the time. Cold and I do not get along. Have a great week!

  4. oh I love summertime. We aren’t in the triple digets yet. We are still in the 80’s. But once we reach mid july, then it gets pretty hot. But most of the time I don’t mind the heat.

  7. It’s been insanely hot here, too. Even for our night walks it’s still 90 degrees at 8 and 9 pm. Good luck this week!

  8. I stopped by your review of This Savage Song because it is my next read. Have a wonderful week. ☺

  9. Hidden Oracle is on my Priority List (but I still have quite a few to finish before I get there). I will watch to see what you thought of it.
