Sunday Post (173) / Stacking the Shelves (153)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Where has June gone? Seriously, sometimes when we’re in the middle of the month I feel as though we’re just at the beginning of it. How crazy is that next week we’re already celebrating Fourth of July right? My neighbors are already setting off fireworks so there’s been this random annoying ‘boom’ going off and on throughout the week. If I had any doubts that we’re not in summer earlier this week the weather was insane. 101 degrees, which I shouldn’t complain because I’m sure places like Arizona and Texas has it much worse than us. I’m crossing my fingers that it won’t be in the 100 next weekend so I can enjoy Anime Expo.

  1. I keep hearing that it’s hot out there, but here in my part of Texas it’s been in the lovely early 90’s.

  2. Its been insanely hot in Ohio this past week. Like, way hotter than normal! We live out in the country so our neighbors have been all about fireworks! We didn’t notice as much when we lived in the city because the cops can get to you faster and no one wants to chance it (fireworks are illegal in Ohio). Hopefully it cools down a bit where you are!

  3. Texas is hella hot right now. We don’t have large bodies of water to help zap the heat and cool down at night. My poor little plants. I feel the same way about June – where the heck did it go? I surely didn’t get near as much reading done by this point as I should have. Ugh! We’ve had a similar phenomenon happening this week. We live in a culvert in the back corner of the subdivision and a new couple moved in to lease the house on the corner. The guy (he looks like a high school golf coach!) has apparently been coming to the house almost every day, I’m assuming to introduce? The man sleeps during the day, but he said he has heard the doorbell too many days this week. Happy reading!

For me it’s suppose to be over 100 decrease all week! Shade and air conditioning are going to be some of my closest friends this summer. I also feel like this month has gone by really fast! I wish that it would just slow down for a little bit. Have a good week. 🙂

  5. 90’s I can handle but 100 is just way too much, I have no idea how you plan to survive anime expo especially if you cosplay!

  6. Oh mann it’s always weird being in the southern hemisphere because right now I’m shivering under the covers! Enjoy the anime expo Jackie.
