Sunday Post (179) / Stacking the Shelves (159)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

You know how you have those weeks where everything felt surreal? Yeah, this was one of those weeks. I was on vacation a couple of days ago to Yellowstone, Old Faithful, Utah, and several other places and then was back to work on Thursday. We didn’t do much shopping like I planned to and while I did run into some bookstores, I didn’t have time to go in because our tour guide only gave us like 15-20 mins to just take pictures before moving onto another place. It was nuts. The thing is it wasn’t a very fun tour. Though I did get plenty of exercise and reading done. I’m always surprised that I manage to get plenty of reading done whenever I’m on vacation.

  1. What a bummer of a tour! I need to get back up to Yellowstone soon, it’s been years. Everyone is all about the new HP book lately. Hope you enjoy it. Have a great week!

  2. Oh that’s a very fast tour. So hard to see anything or browse. Glad you were able to get some reading in at least 😀 Always a plus!

  3. Oh I don’t think I would have liked that aspect of the tour at all! I would love to go to Yellowstone at some point soon though. And yay for reading on vacation! I’m half and half. Sometimes I get tons done and sometimes basically none. Have a great week!

  4. I feel like this coming week will be surreal for me, taking yearbook kids to our workshop, setting up my classroom, and then the entire staff going back. That doesn’t sound like a very fun tour. I hate being rushed.

  5. Several years ago my boyfriend and I decided to do a whirlwind driving holiday. In two weeks we drove from our home in British Columbia through Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Montana….in August…in a car with no air conditioning….yeah, young and stupid, that’s for sure! I would love to go back again sometime and actually spend more time outside the car exploring than sitting inside and driving! 🙂
