Sunday Post (191) / Stacking the Shelves (171)

sundaypostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

I’m feeling a lot better from my cold, but still not 100% me yet. Anyways it’s been an uneventful week at work. I can’t believe Halloween is tomorrow and after that we’re well on our way to the last two months in 2016, which is equally hard to believe. I’m still thinking about my Japan trip that happened earlier this year and has it been that long ago? Now speaking of Halloween I’m not a Halloween person. I like the idea of Halloween because who doesn’t like cute Halloween packaging and candy. But, I don’t really dress up. However, I might dress up as a Hogwarts student this year if the weather is cold enough to let me wear my Gryffindor scarf.

  1. I can’t believe Halloween is tomorrow either! Yikes that came quick. I think a Hogwarts costume would be awesome. 🙂 And Hammer of Thor reminds me I haven’t even read The Sword of Summer yet… sigh and I wasn’t going to get behind on this series. Anyway happy reading and have a nice week!

  2. Glad to hear you are feeling better. I’m not going out, just staying in watching movies and reading. I do miss dressing up and your costume sounds fun. Have a Happy Halloween.

  3. Glad you’re feeling a bit better, hope you’re back to full health soon!

Have a great week & happy reading!

  4. Happy Halloween Jackie! I also can’t believe that it’s nearly November, it’s ridiculous! And I’m feeling jealous about your Japan trip earlier this year, it’s on my bucket list but it won’t happen for a few years.

  5. Free candy (or just cute candy) is always a plus! Glad you’re on the mend!

  6. I don’t dress up anymore either, but I love watching Vincent Price movies and eating junk food 🙂

Hope you have a great week! ~Aleen

  7. aww im sorry you have a cold, I really hope you feel better soon!

  8. This year is going so fast. It’s crazy, isn’t it? I’m glad you’re feeling better.

  9. We like to have a bonfire n the driveway and hand out goodies. Beyond that no much else. Hope your week is a good one!

  10. Ugh I am still stuck in bed with a nasty chest cold, it’s the worst! Looking forward to feeling better myself!

  11. I’m kind of ‘meh’ about Halloween. Maybe because the year I actually got invested in it ended up being the year my engagement ended a week before Halloween. I haven’t done anything for the day since, and I’m really not inclined to, but I love seeing the kids’ costumes and some creative parents!
