Sunday Post (56) / Stacking the Shelves (36)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello all,

Okay, so we finally picked a new layout for the moment. It will most likely change again later, ha. Last week was pretty busy on the blog, not sure how that happened, haha. Oh and there’s some semi-important announcements made (via this post) I’ll quick recap below too. The weather has finally lightened up a bit. But everything is sorta slushy mess, than it froze, so now it’s crazy icy. Weather, please just pick one. Have an awesome week everyone!

 BOOK HAUL

STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

Another slow week. I’m trying to get a bunch of TBR books done instead of picking up a bunch haha.

Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro(01) Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

This was a book club read. I had forgotten that this was made into a movie, though I totally remember seeing the trailers when it was coming out. Probably a good thing anyways, or I just imaged the characters to look just like the actors, ha. Though funny enough, I sort of did image Kathy as Carey Mulligen.  I actually just finished it. I think I didn’t like as much as I wanted to despite the pretty interesting concepts.  Yup.

Better Off Friends - Elizabeth Eulberg(02) Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg

I’ve been wanting to check out this one, it sounds so cute! The library has it, so I grabbed it. Hopefully I’ll find some time for it soon!

  1. Better Off Friends sounds good. I’ll have to check it out! Happy Reading! Here’s my STS if you’d like to stop by…..

    1. Hopefully it’s as cute as it sounds! Hope you enjoy it, too!

  2. Never Let Me Go is getting another push in the book and movie world with the hype surrounding Divergent and The Hunger Games. BN.com listed it this week as a dystopian novel that was made into a movie. There’s a link to that article over on my Sunday Post.

    Have a great week!
