Sunday Post (68) / Stacking the Shelves (48)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So goods new, semi-not-quite bad news! Good news is I found out while in NZ that I got accepted to my graduate program that I wanted to do, so I’ll be starting on my Master’s degree in the fall! If you’re wondering, it’s for a MSc in Occupational Therapy (: The bad part is, I’ll definitely have a lot less time reading/blogging ): So I think this summer I’m gonna try to get a bunch of reviews done before, for those old books I never get to reviewing because I’m always trying to get done the latest review. Oh I’ve also been binge watching Suits. Gawd is Harvey good looking, haha.

Sooooo excited for Heir of Fire!! I need to find sometime where I sit for 8 hrs straight and read it, lol. Also, so utterly excited for How the Scoundrel Seduces, the third book in the Duke’s Men series because it’s Tristan’s book, and this one just sounds so cuteeeee! (PS. Here’s my reviews for the first two in the series if anyone is interested! It’s pretty awesome.

  1. Congrats on graduate program! I am trying to binge read as much as possible this summer as well because in the fall I start my honours year for my Bachelor’s degree – the dissertation alone will probably take a lot of time and energy away from the reading.
I’ve been wanting to watch Suits for such a long time – I need to try and schedule that for summer as well 🙂

    1. Thank you! Good luck with your honours, there’s always so much extra stuff for honours!
Definitely check out Suits, if not for the fabulously good looking Gabriel Macht (who happens to always be in a suit) haha.

  2. Congrats on the program ! The Sarah J. Mass book looks good, and I’m looking forward to your review on It happened one wedding – never read Julie James before but I heard a lot of good about her. Have a great week !

    1. Thanks!
I love Julie James! She writes fantastic contemporary romances. Lots of action and lots of banter! I highly recommend 😉

  3. Congratulations on getting into that program. I am eager to read Heir of Fire but was turned down for the eARC. I’ll be waiting impatiently for release day to get my own copy. Come see what I got this week at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

    1. Thank you!
I was a bit surprised I got approved for it, but definitely excited. Though I’m sure the summer will fly by and it’ll be September soon!

  4. Great news Cyn! Once you are started, I’m sure you will fall into a routine, that’s what I do anyway. I guess you are already working in the field?
Have a great week and Happy Reading.
    My Sunday Post is here

    1. I hope so, hopefully with some time for reading/blogging haha. My BSc is in anatomy & cell biology and I have some volunteer experience in the field, but this is my first time really jumping into the rehab field!

  5. That is wonderful news Cyn. Ooo and we love Suits. Yep Harvey is hot! Awesome haul this week, enjoy!

    1. Thanks Kim!
It’s so nice that Harvey in a suit almost 24/7 haha. He’s a bit distracting sometimes 😉

  6. Great books for you this week! I haven’t read the Throne of Glass books yet, but I have heard a lot about them. Hope you enjoy them!

    1. Haha, that’s true! Thank you!

  9. Congrats on the graduate program! That’s a pretty good reason to slow down on blogging! I’ve only read the 2nd of the Sabrina Jeffries series but I loved it and definitely want to read 1 and 3. Have a great week!

I loved the first one! Drunk Max (the hero) is quite fantastic haha.I hope you enjoy them!

  10. Congrats on the acceptance! Such an exciting time in your academic career, I’m sure. I haven’t decided if I want to do a Master’s or PhD program after my undergrad studies, but I still have time. Anyway. YAY for Heir of Fire! And I didn’t know Sabrina Jeffries has a new books coming out! Must investigate, I do love my historical romance reads 😀

  14. Congratulations on getting in!! WOOOO! Doing both school and blogging is not the most fun, but it’s doable–especially if you’re not as lazy as me. 🙂

Heir of Fireeeeeee! Whee! I need to do the same, absolutely. I won’t want to do anything else. 🙂
