Teaser Tuesday: Daughter of the Pirate King

What is teaser Tuesday? It’s a meme hosted by The Purple Booker (previously by Books and a Beat).

Grab your current read, flip to a random page, share two teaser sentences, don’t include spoilers.

“You’re confusing, and it’s messing with my  head.”

“How is that my fault? I’m sure your head was plenty messed up before I came along.”

I can feel Riden’s  breath in my face. He’s so close and so angry. I almost want to laugh.

“No, it wasn’t,” he insisted.

Then he’s kissing me.

With an angry exhale, I rush back over to Riden’s side.

“Don’t mind me,” he says through quickened breaths. “I’m only bleeding to death.”

“You’re fine,” I tell him.

Daughter of the Siren Queen comes out today and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how it ends! I do enjoy how sassy Alosa can be!
