I’m reading this book for my book club, hadn’t actually heard of this until my friend recommended but it seems pretty cool! I mean I’m only one chapter in and it’s already pretty dramatic. Hopefully the rest of the book holds up!

Happy Book Birthday to The Captive! This was such a sweet and endearing historical romance. You  just want to take everyone and give them a biiiiiiig hug! I love the mix of cuteness with the moments poignancy in this book. Anyway review for this in the coming up week!

Oh and remember to check out the Book Blitz on the blog right now for more teasers, excerpts and a giveaway, too! Go, go, go!

  1. Good Teasers. Since I’m a romance writer, I’m leaning toward The Captive, but I’m intrigued by Lexicon too. So many good books to choose from!
My Teaser is from THE FRIENDSHIP STAR QUILT.

    1. Definitely!
The Captive was a wonderful romance (:

    1. It was, but thankfully the ending was a HEA!

  2. The first one looks really good, but the second probably isn’t my style. Thanks for sharing! Here’s my Teaser Tuesday!

    1. My friend who just finished finished Lexicon, told me is was amazing, so hopefully it continues to be really good!

  3. Lexicon sounds intense! My TT is a travel book: Six Months in Mexico by Nellie Bly. http://wp.me/pZnGI-8U

    1. My friend who read it, tells me it is, haha.

  4. The first one is definitely interesting, especially for so early on. My teaser this week is a re-read of a favorite series and author. From Anne Bishop’s Black Jewels series: Dreams Made Flesh.

    1. The big definitely starts with a big bang!

    1. Hopefully it doesn’t!

  5. I’m more likely to add the second book to my stack than the first though both teasers were interesting. My teasers are from Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh and Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne. Happy reading!

    1. If you’re like for a really sweet romance, definitely check out The Captive 😉

  6. “You can’t do it while he’s conscious. You’ll fry his brain.” I’m hooked! What is going on!?
