He turned to the steward stationed next to the door, whom he’d known since he was a young boy. “Announce me, Robert,” Edward commanded.
The man looked like he was seeing a ghost (which he kind of was) but he obeyed without question. “His majesty Edward Tudor.”
Edward padded toward the throne to stand before Mary.
“You’re sitting in his chair,” piped up Jane from behind him. (ARC p466)

“Is he handsome?” he asked. Dudley’s other son, Stan, had suffered the misfortune of inheriting his father’s eagle nose.
Edward hated the idea of marrying Jane off to that nose. (ARC p18)

If I thought The Unexpected Everything was hilarious, the humor in this novel was just as superb.

  1. Interesting, which genre? My TT of the week, even though for once it’s not SFF: http://earthianhivemind.net/2016/05/31/teaser-tuesday-may-31/

  2. I can’t quite work out which genre, either… The style says urban fantasy, but the characters are historical. My TT this week is an urban fantasy romp – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/05/31/teaser-tuesday-31st-may-2016/

  3. I’m not sure I’ve read a work of fiction by several authors, unless it was an anthology with different stories by different authors. I wonder how the logistics of that worked. Interesting…..
