I took a deep breath. Then I did my usual motivational speech in the mirror: “You are gorgeous and people love you!”
I went out to face the world.

Zeus needed someone to blame, so of course he’d picked the handsomest, most talented, most popular god in the pantheon: me.

Sometimes I feel like Rick Riordan’s heroes sound so much like Percy, but I liked Apollo despite him being very obnoxious and annoying.

I know it’s Apollo, but still that first quote? Lots of people should be saying that to themselves I think! Good choice.

  2. What a lovely quote:). I need to read a bit more of this author as he is a favourite of my granddaughter – and your TT has just bumped him up the queue. Thank you for sharing:) This is my TT – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/06/21/teaser-tuesday-21st-june-2016/

I have read a couple of books by the author but not this one. It sounds good. My YA teaser this week comes from The Conjurer’s Riddle by Andrea Cremer – from deep in my TBR mountain. Happy reading!

  4. At least we know Apollo doesn’t suffer from low self-esteem! My teaser comes from the YA book Graceling by Kristin Cashore.

  5. I want to read this one so much! I’m going to start Percy Jackson soon (can you believe I’ve yet to read him?) and will hopefully work my way up to this series soon. Great teaser!

  6. Haha! Those are great teasers. 🙂 Sounds like fun.

  7. lol – The first teaser reminds me of the Stuart Smalley character from SNL.

LOL! I’ve read Rick Riordan’s entire Percy Jackson series and he doesn’t seem very fond of Apollo there. I always thought he was being a tad unfair to the god of light and poetry, though! Perhaps we’ll see a better side of him in his own book. Thanks for the teaser!

LOL! I’ve read Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson books and I recall that he wasn’t too fond of Apollo. But I’ve always thought he was a tad too hard on the god of light and poetry. Perhaps we’ll see a better side of him in his own book. =)

Thanks for the teaser! I wish I could link mine, but WordPress doesn’t let any of my comments through if there are links in them. =(

  10. These are great teasers…I have not tried this author.
