Arden had just never imagined that when she threw Lindsey a life jacket, she would be drowning herself (P32).

“Typical Arden,” Lindsey said. “You can’t stand to see anyone suffer, even for a second, even when you don’t know the guy. It’s like that time you saved that bird’s life” (P196).

  1. I’m curious about the relationship between Arden and Lindsey. Sounds like Lindsey is not a likable character!
My Tuesday post features In His Arms.

    1. She wasn’t at first, but she does get to be a bit likable later.

  2. Hmm, I read this one but I was not impressed. Arden kept saying how unreliable and needy Lindsay was, but I didn’t see it. Being her savior was a role Arden took on herself and not because Lindsay needed her to.

    1. Yeah I didn’t see Lindsey that way either especially since she’s never asked Arden for anything; I mean she didn’t seem jealous that Arden got to go on the Disney trip and she didn’t. I think Arden just felt sorry for Lindsey which is why she took on the role of being her savior.
