“WTF?” Annie asks. She sometimes speaks in Text, a habit I just can’t get behind.
In my head, I respond in kind: OMG. TML. TTYL. [ARC P49]

“I’ll kill them,” Miney says, which is a nice offer,
but I don’t want her to go to jail. Then I wouldn’t be able to talk to her whenever I wanted. We’d have to sit across from each other in a dirty vestibule, converse through bulletproff glass. Miney is a picky eater.
She’d hate prison food. [ARC p147]

It sucked to read the bullying parts in this book, but I liked seeing Kit standing up for David when people were just going too far.

  1. This one looks like it will be fun! Thanks for sharing this!

  2. I love the very dry humour running through this one – it’s presumably a contemporary book about bullying? My TT this week is a fantasy adventure that I’m just starting – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2017/09/05/teaser-tuesday-5th-september-2017/

    1. I think the humor helped with the bullying parts of this book to make it not too heavy and it is a contemporary novel.

  3. Not sure I could read the bullying parts. Wondering how serious Miney is. And talking in text is a cute way to characterize. Thanks for sharing!

    1. The bullying part was a bit hard to get through, but I think you’ll like that his parents and Miney is supportive of him.

  4. I like those excerpts! A little humor, which always grabs me. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “THE BURNING GIRL”

  5. I still need to read this book. I am a little sad that it is on my bookshelf unread. These teasers sound great!
