Illusionarium - Heather DixonIllusionarium by Heather Dixon

Hardcover: 336 pages

Publisher: Greenwillow

From the author of Entwined, a brilliantly conceived adventure through an alternate London. This sweeping, cinematic tale of an apprentice scientist desperate to save his family—and his world—is The Night Circus meets Pixar.

Through richly developed parallel worlds, vivid action, a healthy dose of humor, and gorgeous writing, Heather Dixon spins a story that is breathtaking and wholly original.

Right, so the synopsis is basically useless, but I could never resist a pretty cover and alternate universes (and sweeping, cinematic tale of an apprentice scientist desperate to save his family—and his world) and well Night Circus meet Pixar sounds pretty epic (but seriously people, aren’t we done with the X MEETS Y yet!?). May is far away ):

  3. I agree. the blurb is useless, but I’m a succor for the cover too. Hopefully we’ll get more information on it. Thanks for sharing. here’s my Wow

  4. Haha! Apart from the alternate London part, yup. BUT THE ALTERNATE LONDON PART. I’m in, just for that. But yeah, can we please me done with the blah blah blah meets blah blah blah, that’s pretty pointless in itself since it’s never accurate. :/

  8. This is the 2nd book today I’ve seen be called “The Night Circus meets….” I’m not normally a fan of books with time travel or parallel universes, but you never know. I do love this cover!

  9. Yeah I agree about the whole X meets Y thing (also, which Pixar are they talking about here? Pixar has a lot of different films, so that needs a little more clarification to me). But aside from that, I’m not really into the whole time travel/alternate universes thing. Hope you enjoy it though!!
