Weekly Wrap Up (27)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey guys, Jackie here,

Why does it feel like August lasted forever, but now that we are in September I’m like woah how did September happen? Too bad that it doesn’t feel like fall here. We’ve been cranking up the AC because of the heat wave going on in SoCal. Summer, overall, has been kind of boring and mostly working. But, boring is good sometimes. Too much excitement in life can get a little tiring and stressing. It’s also Labor Day weekend, which I’m going to use it to sleep in and probably work on my Halloween shawl. Oh and read, too. Can’t forget about the reading.

✖ Teaser Tuesday: In Some Other Life
✖ “Waiting” on Wednesday: Before She Ignites
✖ Review: The Brightest Fell by Seanan McGuire
✖ Review: The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).

The Ends of the World by Maggie Hall: 4 of 5 stars – somehow it got super scifi-y at the end and I was just lost with it.

1. Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

  1. Sometimes life does need boring to slow down a little. Our AC is always going from April to October, but I know it’s a strain for certain areas who don’t often need it. It’s good to have it, though! I hope you have a great weekend! I plan to read my student’s essays and hopefully read.

    1. Wow I would have hoped that it’d get cooler around October in your area but it’s good to know that SoCal isn’t the only one with the crazy heat when it’s supposed to feel like fall.

  2. I like boring! I could use more boring in my life. It has gotten a bit warmer here lately as well but I am sure cooler weather will settle in soon. Have a great week!

    1. I give you all my boring if I could. Haha
