Weekly Wrap Up (34)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey guys, Jackie here,

Another boring week is over and so far October hasn’t been a fun month in the adult life. This month makes me wish that I was a kid again with no worries. But, there are some things about the adult life that is better than being a kid on most days. Like not having to ask your parents for permission to do something every time or staying up as late as you want with the only consequences of being super sleepy the following day,  Adult life has its perks. Its been a bit of a slow week not only on the blog but also in real life. I can’t wait until we get the holidays rolling because by then I’m pretty sure I wish things would slow down. Also, this week we’re back in the triple digits here in SoCal so it hardly feels like fall but the best thing is there’s at least some kind of breezy, windy thing going that comes along with the fall season so it’s not a total lost. Though you can’t really tell that it’s fall here because the leaves on the trees aren’t 100% dead.

✖ Teaser Tuesday: Wonder Woman
✖ “Waiting” on Wednesday: Heart of Iron
✖ Blog Tour Review: Christmas in a Cowboy’s Arms anthology

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).
(:

This is How it Happened by Paula Stokes: 5 of 5 stars
Turtles All the way Down by John Green [currently reading] – I just started and in the typical John Green fashion it does tend to get a little wordy in some places, but I think if you like Paper Towns it’s a bit similar except gender swap the roles.

I’ve got nothing this week as I’ve got enough pile of books that needs to be read.

  1. Ahh agree with you. Being an adult comes with lots of perks. No one complain (except my husband) when I stay late which I’ve done quite often these days. 🙈
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new books and have a wonderful week. ❤️😁

  2. Yes, both childhood and adulthood has its perks 🙂 but then again. It is nice not being responsible for anything aside frm brushing your teeth, right? LOL 😀
    Have a great week!

  3. The advantages of being an adult make up for having the responsibilities usually though there are definitely times I need to remind myself of that! Have a great week!

  4. I have always said that becoming an adult is the biggest scam of childhood. Sure, there are some perks, but man, the stress will kill you! And I still feel like I have no idea what the heck I’m doing.
    Have a great week!

  5. I used to think that being an adult would be so amazing because I could eat whatever I wanted – no one could ever tell me I couldn’t have chocolate cake for breakfast! Oh, sweet, innocent, younger me, how little you understood how the metabolism works. 😉
