Weekly Wrap Up (44)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey all, Cyn here!

Happy New Year’s Eve!! How the year as flown by! Every year I saw I’ll try to keep track of more fun book reading stars and yet, I never actually do it…thankfully Goodreads kind of has one that sums up stuff for me!

I kind of petered off on review writing and book reading as the end of this year, but hopefully the new year will give me a fresh start on reading again! I’ve really tried to expand my reading genre a little more and seems to be helping with the slump!

In other news: I still haven’t found my next Netflix binge watching show, boo.

Hope everyone rings in the new year with a cheer and all the best in 2018!!

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng (4.5 stars): finished it and loved it. A very aptly titled book.

The Sun and Her Flower (4 stars): While I didn’t love it as much as Milk and Honey, it was still a lovely collection of poetry.

Life, Love, and the List by Kasie West: currently reading, so far pretty cute.

1. Pretty reader’s digest edition of Emma by Jane Austen

2. Eat What You Watch (The Binging with Babish cookbook) by Andrew Rea

  1. I’ve petered off, too. I have a handful of reviews to write before starting my books for the new year. Have a great week – and find that new show! Happy New Year!

  2. I did a review a day for my October Horror feature and kind of petered out after that too. Got some reviews written for January and plan to keep things less hectic in the new year. Yeah, right. LOL Have a Happy New Year!

  3. I haven’t read much in the last week. Been busy with the kids and going places and kids have had friends in and out. I’m already scheduled for most of January, so I decide d to enjoy the break. ☺ Happy New Year! 🎉

  4. Jane Austen is always sure to please. Happy reading.

  5. It’s hard to keep reading this time of year. I definitely took a break – or at least a slow down. Happy New Year and have a great week!
