Weekly Wrap Up (45)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey all, Cyn here! Hope everyone rung in the new year with a big smile!

Slow week all around for me and on the blog. I got to spend most of this week off from work (which was lovely!) and mainly bummed around the house watching Netflix and trying to catch up on reading.

I did get my butt out of the house a couple times though! Finally end up seeing Thor! Which was hilarious and amazing. And Pitch Perfect 3, which of course isn’t as good as 1, but still fun to watch. Went to trivia night, which I really need to work on “name that song”, and ate a lot of delicious food. Now time to attempt to get back to the healthy eating wagon /sigh.

The last week or so has been a deep freeze here (-40C to -50C with the windchill!), and it’s finally warming up, so yay for that! Hope January has been treating everyone well!

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).
(:

Love, Life and the List by Kasie West: still reading, so cute-ish, but not totally grabbing my attention

Heart on Fire by Amanda Bouchet: currently reading, the last book in the Kingmaker Chronicle! Excited!

  1. Thor was pretty awesome! And glad you had a good week. I mostly watched Netflix too in my free time- reading definitely took a hit. 🙂

Hope you have a great week ahead.

  2. I had the week off too and did pretty much the same thing. Binged some shows and did some reading:)

  3. I also need to get back on that healthy eating wagon, but it’s a little depressing. lol I’m gonna miss my french fries! I know that it isn’t going to be bad once I get on it, it’s just hard to give up the junk food. lol Have a good week! 🙂

  4. It’s been soo cold, I’ve been a bum around the house too which I think inspired my layers health kick. My stomach as rebelling and rightfully so!

    Have a great week!

  5. Its been crazy cold here as well. Some schools were closed Friday because it was too cold in the morning for the kids that walk to school (common in some districts around here!). Glad you had a nice week though!

  6. I loved Thor! Did you watch the first film, or the latest one? Glad you had a nice week off. Hopefully, it will warm nicely so you can get a break from the freeze.

  7. I could not do anything below 10 degrees. I would not survive! I hope you stayed nice and warm. Good luck this week in the thawing temps!

  8. I want to read Love, Life, and the List.

Stay warm and have a great week!

  9. We went back to school last week on Thursday, and this week was a full week. Although I got a surprise snow day today, so it’s nice to hang out with my puppies and relax. Hope you’re having a great week!
