Weekly Wrap Up (55)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Ahoy all, Cyn here!

I thought spring has finally arrived but it was all lies ): Had a bit of a snow storm blow it and it’s a cold mess again, sigh.

On other news not weather related:

Four books into the March TBR challenge ! Not all the books I originally planned, but that’s okay! I finally read Jenny Han! Which I’ve been saying I would for like 5 years now, so yay!

Finished The Good Place season two, and hot doggity dog, so freak’n good!

I need to start the new Santa Clarita Diet.

Been trying to find healthy breakfast choices – I’ve been loving the warm PB&J oatmeal with all the yummy fruit toppings. I tried baked oatmeal which wasn’t too bad, a little bland (likely my fault) but nothing peanut butter can’t fix!

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).
(:

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han (3.5 stars): Finally jumped in the band wagon! This was a cute and I adored the family aspect (especially Kitty!), and surprisingly not surprisingly Peter won me over.

P.S I Still Love You by Jenny Han (3 stars): I was on a roll and kept going because I needed to know! A little more angst but sweet all the same.

Obsidio by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner (CR): It’s happening!! I miss Kady and Erza! And high hopes for me loving Asha and Rhys!

Borrowed:

1. Obsidio

Illuminae & Gemina!! So fantastic, both of them! Highly recommend (:

  1. Ah yes, winter has a tendency to do that. It just doesn’t want to let go and let spring come in. Have a good week! 🙂

  2. What is up with this delayed spring thing? Crazy weather. And yay for the TBR challenge!

Just finished Obsidio- loved it! And Summer Days and Summer Nights *nods* Love that cover!

  3. Your books look so delicious! Thanks for sharing photos of them, too.

  4. Yeah we had snow too. So over it!!! I loved The Good Place. So funny!! I am hoping to get to Obsidio next month – hope you love it. Have a great week!

  5. I am only 5 books into the March TBR Challenge. I deviated from the original books after two of them being bad for me books and decided to read some others on my shelf. Which turned out much better! Have a great week! Good luck on the diet.

  6. My goal in my diabetes class was to eat breakfast more. I have found little breakfast sandwiches and sausage patties to cook. I also have oatmeal, which has always been a favorite. I don’t think I’m going to meet my TBR challenge.

  7. Good luck with eh diet. I have high b/p so we adjusted to not having so much salt intake, the family wan’t very happy. But little did they, I cook very little anyway. Lol… Have a great week and enjoy your new books too.

  8. I have have the Santa Clarita Diet on my Netflix list for a while now. One of these days I will get a chance to watch it. I’ve been a bit sidetracked with Grace and Frankie at the moment, but I’ve got a handful of episodes left in the latest season.
I love overnight oatmeal. It’s so easy to make and there are so many options. I’ve lately been on a egg taco kick, but I think I will change it up this week with some oatmeal. 🙂

  9. I saw a trailer for Santa Clarita Diet today and it looks awesome. Think I’ll add it to my watchlist. 🙂

  10. Peanut butter can fix anything. I love your book photos. I still need to get Obsidio. I hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  11. I got my copy of Obsidio last week and I’m beyond excited for it! Can’t wait to start it next week when I have all the time in the world to read it while listening to it on audio! They’re such beautifully made books and the audio is spectacular!

  12. Everyone is raving about Obsidio these days. I haven’t yet started the series so I have no idea. But yeah I want to pick that up soon 🙂
