This week’s topic is: Fitness!

So I have high aspirations to stay fit, unfortunately my procrastinating & food-loving ways can get in the way of that sometimes. I usually eat pretty healthy, but I love food too much to always eat “healthy”. (aka. sometimes I overindulge too much, oops).

While I don’t always stick to my “exercise” regiment, I do attempt to stay in some shape. I’m a seasonal jogger. And by that I mean I only run when the weather’s nice (which in Saskatchewan usually means 4 months if I’m lucky) because I’m an outdoor runner (I hate running tread mills). [Again, I’m such a lazy butt sometimes] Best time of the year is usually summer, because I at least attempt to train for 5K obstacle course races.

But sometimes I’m lucky and I actually get into a habit (best predictor of future behaviour!) of running everyday and I get to reap the reward of runner’s high. Man, it feels nice. It really does become addicting.

Let me know what you do for fitness/exercise! Do you love it or hate it? (Personally, it’s a love/hate relationship for me – I know it’s good for me, & sometimes it can be fun, but it doesn’t mean I always want to do it!).

  1. I was always a seasonal gym goer and would be on and off it for years, but then my weight would never be consistent cos I’d go up and down. Since October last year I started personal training classes and have been consistently going to the gym and never felt better 🙂

  2. I love exercise! I’m a bit of a nut, but just by myself (I don’t go to the gym or anything). I run every day of the week…although, lol, that’s probably not good for me but I’m a bit OCD and once I start a habit I find it very hard to stop. >_< Treadmills feel awkward because you literally don't get anywhere. lol

  3. What do I do for fitness? Not nearly enough! I’m not very big on Virginia’s heat and humidity, so I don’t often go for walks in the summer. I’m trying to start a habit of going to the YMCA and working on the treadmill, stationary bike, and/or elliptical, but so far I haven’t been very consistent.

  4. I exercize every morning 5 times a week for 20mn. I used to go running outside, but I get up very early and it’s still night, except maybe for 3 months a year, so I’d have to wear a miner’s helmet complete with lamp to see where I’m going lol !

  5. Eww, I hate running haha. Food and laziness screws me up, too! I *want* to eat healthy but it’s SO HARD. So I don’t. Lol, I have no restraint ;p
