Life of a Blogger: Where Were You 13 years ago?

Life of a Blogger

Welcome to Life of a Blogger, a weekly meme hosted by Jessi @ Novel Heartbeats! This is where you get the chance to know the blogger behind the blog, aka: What we do when we’re not blogging! Every week there will be a new topic; mainly non-bookish, where I’ll share a little bit of life with you guys (:

This week’s topic is: Where were you 13 years ago!

13 years ago… I was 13 years old! Imagine that, haha.

Is it terrible that I can’t remember whether you’re in grade 8, or starting high school at 13?
I’m pretty I was in 8th grade…

And let me tell you, I’m pretty sure I had some different expectations back than, and where I was going to be in 13 years!

At 13, I definitely hadn’t done a whole lot. I was still a big reader back in the day (and waiting anxiously every year for the next Harry Potter book to be released!) , and I definitely had a huuuuuuuuge obsession with hockey (which I mean…I live in Canada, it’s expected). I didn’t care too much about shoes back than but I still loved romantic comedies (because really, who doesn’t!).

If you ask me where I was 13 years ago, 13 years from now, I might have more interesting stories for you. Legit, the life of a 13 years (or at least mine anyway) was kinda typical. School, friends, watching tv and music – bring on the 1990’s-2000 teen flicks (She’s All That! 10 Things I Hate About You!) and pop (how can we forget the magic that is boy bands), seriously that stuff still makes me happy to this day.

Yup, that’s about it!

So where were you 13 years ago!? I feel like there’s a few that might have just been babies, haha.

  1. I was 7. I had done nothing. NOTHING. Except “wrote” and illustrated my own stories by plagiarising fairy tales and than saying I made them up. I’ve been lying from SUCH an early age it’s rather awful. *ahem* I also went to an actual school for the first time in my life! I’d been homeschooled up to then, and I was only in school for a few months, before I left and was homeschooled again. 😉
I’ve always wanted to link up with this meme, but I FORGET. I’m notorious. I just…forget everything.

  2. Annnnd this is where we begin to feel old. I was 16 thirteen years ago, I’m pretty sure I was in my last year of high school. I was searching for good books back then, but YA wasn’t really a thing then. I’m pretty sure I was also fangirling back then over my favourite TV shows and everything. It’s funny how these things make us recall huh?
