Anything can happen in the moonlight . . .

Justice. That’s all Nell Trim wants-for her sister and for the countless other young women the Marquess of Leath has ruined with his wildly seductive ways. Now she has a bold plan to take him down . . . as long as she can resist the scoundrel’s temptations herself.

From the moment Nell meets James Fairbrother, the air positively sizzles. Yet for all his size and power, there’s something amazingly tender in his touch. Could he really be such a depraved rogue? The only way to find out is to beat the devil at his own game . . . one tempting kiss at a time.

This is book four of the Sons of Sin series, and it’s got scandals, mistaken identity, secrets, revenge and blackmail!

Our hero is James Fairbrother, Marquess of Leath and from the previous book, I was not a huge fan of him (he was kind of a grumpy jerk), but he seriously won me over in this book. After a scandal puts his political career on pause, Fairbrother goes home to nurse his wound where he meets our heroine Nell Trim. Nell, under the guise of his mother’s companion, is here to find the diary that could destroy Fairbrother. But turns out Fairbrother is surprising sweet and a true gentleman and she totally falls head over heels. I though Nell was pretty brave to be willing to risk everything to get revenge her half-sister’s death, but unfortunately I didn’t like her as much as I hoped. She’s a bit irrational for me and kind of extreme, so I ended sided with Fairbrother more often than not. Though I’m happy they got their happy ending, I still think Nell needed to grovel a little more (but yay happy ending!).

“You think your kisses make me silly?”

His low laugh vibrated through her bones in a most disconnecting way. “Your kisses definitely make me silly.”

The story is kind of two parts. The beginning is where we get to see the romance bloom between Fairbrother and Nell. There’s a good  amount of tension and they have pretty good chemistry. The second, is the revenging and the blackmailing! Though this book can be read as a stand-alone, it’s nice to have read the previous book as it lays the groundwork for the blackmailing/revenge in this book, so I won’t say too much, so nothing gets spoiled. We do get a cameo from all the couples from the series though, and it was really nice! I seriously love that Fairbrother and our previous heroes get a chance to bond and be heroes together! Overall, a enjoyable read and a lovely addition to the series.

“I shouldn’t give in to my feeling,” she mumbled into the white front of his shirt.

He settles her more firmly. “Don’t be a goose.”
