Each night at precisely 4:33 am, while sixteen-year-old London Lane is asleep, her memory of that day is erased. In the morning, all she can “remember” are events from her future. London is used to relying on reminder notes and a trusted friend to get through the day, but things get complicated when a new boy at school enters the picture. Luke Henry is not someone you’d easily forget, yet try as she might, London can’t find him in her memories of things to come.

When London starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks, or flash-forwards, as the case may be, she realizes it’s time to learn about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

How would it be to live life only “remembering” your future and not your past? A fresh concept worked into a captivating story, Patrick takes the reader on a hell of a ride.

London bears the weight of knowing what’s to come but none of the knowledge of what’s passed. Somehow she makes do, until one days she starts encountering a boy she doesn’t “remember”. For a heroine like London, she powers through life as best she can, winning hearts of the readers easily.

But there was one moment when London became yet another unmemorable teenage girl. Aside from that, Forgotten is a scintillating read, and the suspense just keeps you going. Definitely for anyone looking for something a little different and enjoys a good suspense/ pararom.

  1. The concept is so interesting and something that is hard to believe can happen. I would like to be in London’s shoes just to see how she feels and how she tries to take control of her situation.
