It’s Romantic Thursday with Bookmunchies! So why is Thursday romantic? Because I like Thursday and I like romance! Basically, I just love romance, in YA books, in adult, contemporary, historical, whichever the genre and sometimes I’m too lazy to write full reviews but I do love sharing fun quotes or just gushing about characters. So that’s what Romantic Thursday is for! To share my love. May it be through actual full reviews, quick reviews, or just fun quotes.

Where There’s Smoke by Donna Kauffman
When flames from a recipe gone disastrously wrong send hunky fire-fighter Will Mason to pretty Clara Parker’s rescue, the sparks really begin to fly! And once Will gets a taste of Clara, he aches for more than just a little sugar from the famously single food columnist…
The Gingerbread Man by Kate Angell
Folks have always told fun-loving Abby Denton that her anatomically correct Gingerbread cookies are…impressive. But those erotic cookies have nothing on the sexy stranger Abby saves from a snowy country road. Could Lander Reynolds be the Christmas treat she’s truly been longing for?
Sugar And Spice by Kimberly Kincaid
When caterer Lily Callahan goes up against hotshot pastry chef Pete Mancuso in the bake-off of the season, the stakes are high – and scandalously passionate. Will the gorgeous gourmand steal Lily’s heart – and the top prize in the Christmas cookie competition?
Just like the title of the book suggests, this book is lovable, sugary sweet, yummy read. It’ll definitely have you in the mood for some holiday romance. There’s 3 stories and each one is really cute with it’s only little flare. The prologue and epilogue help tie this three stories together about 3 friends who just need a bit holiday cheer to get their love life back on track.
The first was: Where There’s Smoke by Donna Kauffman. Clara has had some bad luck with boyfriends, and that bad luck has leaked over to her work too. That all changes when she re-connects with “the one that got away” Will, the once geeky college guy turn front cover of the fire fighter calender though. Clara is a bit of a klutz but such a sweetie and Will, oh charming hero Will is there to save the day. Not only is it a cute & pretty funny romance, but it’s a nice friendship story too.
The second: The Gingerbread Man by Kate Angell. Abby is that awesome friend who’ll make your anatomically accurate gingerbread man. Need I say more? Oh, alright. Abby ends up saving good-looking stranger Lander and they end up getting snowed in her cabin. They end up bonding and helping each other with the loses in their life and making the Christmas season a happy one again. It’s really a sweet story for Abby and Lander, even if it’s a bit of insta-love.
The last: Sugar And Spice by Kimberly Kincaid. Oh I liked this one. This is the banter romance. Put one hot shot chef and one a-bit-too-serious baker in the oven and watch the sparks fly! Pete is pretty awesome and really does have a heart of gold despite hiding it behind his hot-shot arrogance, it just took Lily to bring out of him. And Lily, turns out she’s not as serious as we thought! They really complement each other well and gawd did this story make me wanna eat all the pretty things they were baking!
Overall, happy endings all around! Definitely a perfect holiday read if you want fluffy and adorable. I just have one recommendation for when reading this book. Make sure you have cookies in reach or prepare to suffer the consequence of craving cookies the whole time. The book comes with recipes, so you even have what their having (;
