Sunday Post (106) / Stacking the Shelves (86)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

I hope you all had a good week. It’s been a tiring week, but I realize that it’s hard to balance reading and catching up on shows…at least for me. Just recently I finished binging the first season of Agents of Shield and haven’t really read much. Save for the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban reread, which made me even more pumped up to jump straight into the Goblet of Fire reread instead of tackling the library books I borrowed. The newer books are going slow. I know I shouldn’t be hoarding all the books and not read them, but that’s a bad habit of mine because I hate that if I finish reading the book and end up loving it then I’ll be waiting forever for the next book that comes out.

  1. I totally know what you mean about hoarding, it’s hard to stop acquiring pretty books but at the end of the day, if we don’t read them then it’s not really worth it. I hope you enjoy The Red Queen, everyone’s talking about it at the moment!

  2. I really hope you are enjoying All the bright places. That was such a good book!

  3. I got Red Queen as well this week 😀
And don’t worry about the hoarding of books, it’s not like it is a destructive habit because you’re a book blogger and you WILL eventually read them 🙂

  4. I agree about balancing TV and books. There’s so many shows I love or really want to watch and then I have piles of books and not nearly enough downtime to squeeze even a portion of either in. I’m wanting to watch Agent of the Shield. I’ve heard good things about it. Have a great week!

  5. I am on the same page with the balancing of tv and books. I am so behind on a few shows right now. But they’re all recorded. Hoping maybe during my spring break I’ll be able to get caught up like I did over Christmas break.
    Check out my STS

  6. I have exactly the same problem. I’ll get a bunch of shiny new books, but then none of them grab me as much as a fourth reread of Tamora Pierce’s books.
