Sunday Post (129) / Stacking the Shelves (109)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

While Book Munchies was down my week was a little crazy productive. I went to Disneyland for the first time in forever (I don’t go often despite living close by), the internet was down for two days because of a fire in my area, and it got crazy busy at work. All in all the week kept me busy. It’s funny when the internet is down I expect to get through a lot of books, but I only got through maybe two. Nowadays people probably can’t get through the day without using the internet, but even though the internet has made me anxious about checking my emails and status updates on a daily basis there are times where I can go without the internet. One of the many perks of being a bookworm when your internet is down is that at least you won’t be ever bored.

  1. Ooh Disneyland. That must have been fun.
Having a fire nearby must be a bit scary though.

Hope you have a great week of reading. 🙂

  2. .How are you not at D-land every weekend? I like a few hours away and want to go all the time. lol. Ugh that suck about the fire and outage. Hope you have a great week, Jackie.

  3. Bummer about the fires, but yes, we book addicts always have something to fall back upon 😉 And we could live before internet ever existed, so… Have a great sunday !

If there are books, the only thing that bores me is lack of reading light. Hope everything is back to normal!

  5. I don’t know the books but I hope you enjoy them all. Happy reading 🙂

  6. I love Disney World though I don’t go as often as I’d like as it’s a bit of a drive. It’s even longer to Disneyland so I’ve never been there but one day I hope too one day. Being a book lover is definitely an advantage. I think I can count the number of times I’ve been bored in my entire life on one had. Still I think I might get a bit twitchy without internet. Have a great week!

  7. I have The Fixer on my kindle and am really looking forward to reading that one! I’ll have to watch for your thoughts on it! It looks like you have lots of great reading ahead of you. Enjoy!

  8. One of these days I need to read one of Jennifer Lynn Barnes’ books. Hope you have a good week!
    Check out my WOW

  9. Great bunch of books! I wanted to let you know that I’ve just nominated you for the Blogger Recognition Award! Sorry if you’ve already done it but if not, I hope you get a chance to 🙂 X http://originalbooker.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/blogger-recognition-award.html
