Sunday Post (139) / Stacking the Shelves (119)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

I hope you guys had a great Halloween. If you passed out candy or go trick or treating I hope you saw awesome costumes. But, November! I’m excited that it’s November because we’re finally getting cooler temperatures. Normally I don’t like wearing jackets but I’ve been craving to wear them lately. Oh and November also means that Winter by Marissa Meyer is out. I don’t usually preorder books because I end up going to the bookstore sooner or later. But I’ve preordered it because sometimes I get anxious that if it’s a super popular book the bookstore will run out.

  1. YAY! I’m looking forward to some book releases in November too, it makes even the very early darkness doable for me, Jackie.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading!

    1. I hope you enjoy your books when you get them.

  2. I love autumn, mid-seasons in general, but november generally means I’ll have to cover up my car with cardboxes if I don’t want to defrost it every morning, lol ! Enjoy Winter when you get it 😉

    1. lol but at least it doesn’t take forever to defrost.

  3. I love November! I love the cooler weather and the holidays. So much fun. And I am super excited for Winter. I have it preordered and can’t wait!

    1. Right? I’m excited about the holidays. Not looking forward to the crowd while shopping for Christmas presents though. Yay! I hope you enjoy Winter when it comes out Cynthia.

    1. Hahah yeah that’s pretty much the only other book I’m anticipating this month. I am also excited about Ten Thousand Skies Above You, but not as excited as I am about Winter.

  5. I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures too! I’m so tired of shorts and while I don’t like cold I love sweaters! I’m hoping to start Cinder soon and am looking forward to seeing everyone’s thoughts on Winter. Have a great week!

    1. I hope you read Cinder soon. It’s a fabulous retelling, even if you’re not into sci-fi, I totally recommend the Lunar Chronicles.

  6. Happy November! Let the holiday season begin. O_O I LOVED First & Then! I’m not a huge YA contemporary person, but that one was awesome. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
