Sunday Post (140) / Stacking the Shelves (120)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

This week has been such a long week for me. I think it’s probably the time change, but I’m so glad it’s the weekend. This week was the beginning of NaNoWriMo and I’ve written 12K words so far. I’m kind of pleased with myself because I had to start over at one point because I didn’t like where it was going. And then I managed to read at least two books, which is more than the week before. So yay for getting out of a semi-reading funk. I’m almost done with The Sword of Summer too (I don’t know why this is taking forever for me to read, but it is…I might’ve skimmed the ending though). Hopefully next week will be a better reading week. Oops, gotta get back to that NaNo.

Good luck with NaNo! And hope you get some good reading in. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you. I hope so too.

  3. WOW, that’s a lot of words already for NaNo! And you even got time to read as well, good job!
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading, Jackie.

    1. It’s hard to balance both. Thank you.

That’s sounds like a lot of writing! And that you were able to read too! Like juggling and riding a unicycle while singing the Star Spangled Banner!

    1. Ahaha juggling and riding a unicycle while singing the Star Spangled Banner sounds a lot harder than writing and getting some reading in.

  5. Good luck with NaNo! I’m impressed you’re getting reading done with all that writing. The time change definitely does skew everything and I’m not fully adjusted either. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you. Yeah it’s hard to get some reading time in. I hope you are able to adjust soon. Funny how it’s easier to adjust when we change for spring, but not for winter.

  6. Congrats on your NaNoWriMo progress! 12K words is awesome! I have no idea where I am going with my book because it keeps changing. But I am doing it and that’s the important part, right?

    1. Thanks. It is a lot of words. Aww yeah I hate it when you try to stick to some kind of outline, but your story seem to have a mind of its own. Good luck on your NaNo!

  7. Good luck with NaNo! That’s really cool you’re participating.

    1. Thanks. You should join too. It’s a lot of fun.
