Sunday Post (142) / Stacking the Shelves (122)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

I think I caught the cold that’s been going around at work. Which is strange because you’d think getting the flu shot would boost your immune system, but I guess not. Though I’ve been overworking and pushing myself so I also think that’s why I started to feel sick earlier this week. So glad that it’s the weekend though so I can rest up with books and Agent Carter.

  3. I am so sorry you were sick with a cold! I have had colds at two different times over the past month. Argh. Annoying. Feel better!

I am sorry you picked up a cold. I think the flu shot is important; last time I didn’t get one I got the flu and almost died. But, I do swear I get sick for a day or so when I get the shot. I have been told it is my immune system reacting to the vaccine. I was fine this year though – other than my arm hurting like crazy!
    Hope you feel better soon.

    1. I’m glad that you are okay this year. Yeah I think some people who are not used to taking the flu shot get sick after taking it for the first time. I take the flu shot every year, but I don’t get sick when I get it. lol yeah my arm gets sore for like the first two days, but I think that’s normal.

  5. So sorry about the cold. I’ve found that I can only overdo it for so long before my body rebels and I end up sick. Hopefully you’re able to get some rest and feel better soon!

    1. It wasn’t a stressing week, but it makes me be extra careful about overdoing things in the future. Thanks Katherine.

  6. I need to read that Alexandra Bracken series, it sounds good. I think actually if you were kind of tired and rundown when you got the flu shot, that can help it take over your system so that you did get a little bit sick. I just know it has happened to people I know. Hope you get to feeling better!
    Check out my Sunday Post

    1. Read it. I loved the snark and the sass, even though it was a pretty dark series at times. Really? I’ll have to keep that in mind next year when I get the flu shot. Thank you.
