Sunday Post (144) / Stacking the Shelves (124)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

It’s another uneventful week, but the holidays are coming up fast. I need to finish buying Christmas presents and wrapping them. Every year I try doing these things early, but somehow I always end up doing them at the very last minute. Also, I’m still sick. I thought I was getting better earlier this week, but somehow my cough has worsen and I’ve got a running nose. Yuck! So because of this work hasn’t been very fun, but at least it’s been a slowish week.

  1. I’m the same way about Christmas gifts. Every year I say I’m going to be on top of it next year and then every Christmas I ended up becoming a frazzled mess. This year I did get all the people who are really difficult to buy for out of the way so when I do end up running crazy 2 days before Christmas it will at least be for people who are fun to shop for. Have a great week!

  2. I am so sorry that you are sick! I had a horrible cold/cough that lingered for way too long. I just started feeling better this week. I hope you feel better soon.

  3. It’s that time of year for the ickies to be going around. I hope you feel better soon. {{{posivibes}}}

  4. I hope you like Rules for 50/50 Chances. I think that book sounds great. Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

    My Sunday Post!

  5. Sorry you are still sick Jackie. I went for my yearly physical and when I told the Doctor I had this cough and congestion for a good 6 weeks he was mad. I started antibiotics and have been draining. Maybe you should go

  6. I gave up on Dangerous Lies unfortunately, just didn’t really like the main character, which is too bad, as i like all her other books. Looks like a good haul this week. Sorry that you’re still not feeling up to snuff. 🙁 Hope this week is better!
