Sunday Post (159) / Stacking the Shelves (139)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Happy 1st day of spring! Don’t you just love this season? I love it that it’s not too cold or too hot, but sometimes it’s more hot than cold here in SoCal. This week, which I’ve been dreading a bit, has been a bit crazy but I’m so glad it’s over. I got the chance to try the new cherry blossom frap from Starbucks (which is basically just a strawberry frap and matcha blended together but it’s soooo yummy) and while I don’t drink fraps on a daily basis, this one is actually something I’d consider ordering from time to time if it weren’t for the fact that it’s a limited time only drink.

  1. The Heir and the Spare is one I’ve been interested. Enjoy it.

    1. The book does sound interesting, but haven’t heard much about it.

  2. I hadn’t heard of the cherry blossom frap but now I am intrigued! I love spring and summer. I enjoyed the warmer days we had this week but unfortunately it didn’t last. Today is much colder and definitely sweater/winter coat weather.

I just finished reading The Dark Days Club. I liked it but didn’t love it. I hope you like The Heir and the Spare. I read that one recently too. Love & Gelato is on my TBR list. It sounds like the perfect summer book.

I hope you have a better week this week!

    1. Oh no! I hope you get more warmer days soon. I envy sweater/winter coat weather. Wish we could switch weathers.

I haven’t heard much about The Heir and the Spare so I’m looking forward to it.

    2. Definitely. I’m always grateful for the really nice days. Some days it’s just too hot to enjoy the outdoors.

It’s a lovely day here–given we both live in Southern California, that’s no surprise. 🙂 We really should open the windows and let in some fresh air. Looks like you had a good week in books. 🙂 I hope you have a great week!
