Sunday Post (178) / Stacking the Shelves (158)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

And so the summer reading program has ended at work and I’m not entirely too sure how to feel about it. Though I’m very grateful that it wasn’t as crazy as it was last year. Anyways, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is out and I have it preordered and ready to go on my nook (who else is excited about it?). I wasn’t too sure if I wanted a physical copy or not, but I won’t have time to go to the bookstore until Thursday or Friday to buy it since I’m currently on vacation this week. I’m hoping that I’ll somehow magically run into a bookstore and they have a copy left.

  1. My husband surprised me with a copy of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this morning! I want to start it so bad but I’m already reading 3 different books and my toddler isn’t going to give me much time to read as it is.
    Have a great week!

    1. That was sweet of him. I hope you are able to read it soon.

  2. I’m looking forward to seeing the reviews from the new Harry Potter! Summer reading programs are always such a great idea but I can’t imagine the work they take to have them all come together.

    1. Same here! Though I’m sure it’ll be hard to write one without accidentally spoiling something. I’m always amazed by the decorations that the librarians put a lot of work into for the reading program.

  3. WOAH, you didn’t like 738 Days? I’m not even remotely interested in it, but I’ve seen such glowy reviews for it, so I was surprised to see the 2-star rating. Oh well! You can’t love them all. 😉 I hope you enjoy all of your new books (especially the Anstey and West ones – I loved those)!

    Have a fabulous week. 🙂

    Check out my STS post!

    1. Haha it was an okay book. I expected something more after reading the blurb, but it ended up like every other New Adult book.

  4. It’s good that it wasn’t as crazy, right? I am holding off on HP and the Cursed Child. I have mixed feelings and not mar my HP love. I hope you enjoy it!

    1. Thanks. I’m also planning to hold off reading the Cursed Child because the hype will probably give me mixed feelings.
