Sunday Post (180) / Stacking the Shelves (160)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

This week has been a bit of a slow week at work, which is different from a couple of months ago where we were running around and shelving books as fast as we can. But, then again August has always been a bit of a sluggish month. The weather for the past couple of days has been pretty nice and breezy. I had to carry a light jacket in the mornings to work because it was chilly, so by the time I’m off work I didn’t really need my jacket any more and that was troublesome. I’ve also finished reading The Cursed Child, which surprisingly enough took a couple of days instead of one like I thought I would. I’ve been thinking of writing a review for it on the blog, but I’m not so sure because it’s hard to not spoil all the things for people who haven’t read it yet and being vague doesn’t help either. I might end up writing it though.

  1. I’m envious of your weather! It’s been in the high 90’s, low 100’s and raining every day here in Florida.
Have a great week and happy reading!

    1. Ugh the humidity sounds terrible, but I’d prefer the rain over heat any day. I hope it isn’t flooding where you are with all the rain.

  2. I wish it was chilly here in the mornings. LoL I’m roasting in this heat. I hope you are able to write a review for the Cursed Child. I’ve been wondering what peoples thoughts are on it.

    1. Lets both hope that autumn will be here sooner than later.

  3. That is how weather is during the true “spring” season here. It’s very chilly in the mornings and blazing hot in the afternoons. We’re getting rain all week, so it will kill that 116 heat index. It is hard to write a review without so many spoilers. I hope you find a way to write it and share it. Happy reading!

    1. Spring is usually moderately hot for us, but there are occasionally chances of rain and breezy conditions. Stay cool and hydrated from the heat. Hope you are cranking up your AC to full blast.

  4. The weather sounds nice! It’s still really hot here, so enjoy the cooler weather! It’s also nice that it’s slower at work, that’s nice every once and a while. Have a good week. 🙂

  5. Hmm, only 2 out of 5 stars for the new Harry Potter book. I’ve got it sitting at home. Just need to read it. ANd I will, at some point. Have a great week, I’m jealous of that weather!

    1. I think if you didn’t have high expectations from the book like I did you’ll find it enjoyable. I hope at least you enjoyed it better than I did though.
