Sunday Post (190) / Stacking the Shelves (170)

sundaypostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

Its been an interesting week both at work and home. Almost the whole family is caught with some kind of cold since Thursday. I’m blaming this on the weather because it’s been super hot the last couple of days here in LA, and then at work my building is freezing that by the time I get out of work I still have my jacket on. But, it looks like the weather next week is consistent even though it’s finally fall-like temperature with a chance of rain. Thankfully this is my off weekend so I’m going to try and rest up, and hope that the cold will be gone when Monday rolls around. Speaking of work, we had an earthquake drill on Thursday and it was an interesting experience though I really hope that the real thing never happens. You’d think living in a state where earthquakes happens once in a while make you get used to it, but it’s scary because you never know when it’ll happen.

    1. Thank you. Yup. It’s barely starting to feel like fall here.

  2. I’m not sure I would ever get used to earthquakes either! The ground just isn’t supposed to move lol. Hope you feel better, colds have been going aroud here too with the change in weather. No fun.

Timekeeper is one I’m curious about as I keep seeing it around and the premise sounds really unique.

    1. Earthquakes feel unnatural even though I think they’re supposed to be natural. Thank you.

  3. I hope you’ll all feel better real quick, Jackie!
And I also hope you’ll enjoy your new book 🙂 Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

    1. Thank you. 🙂

  4. I can imagine earthquakes can still be scary even if you do know they happen! Hope you feel better soon!

    1. Thank you.

  5. Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well. Something must be going around because I was sick last week too. I think I may be at the end of it now (i hope!). Hope you have a great week!

    1. Glad you are feeling better. Yeah I think it’s that time of year where everybody catches something.

  6. I’ve never experienced an earthquake, but I’m sure they are scary. I didn’t read my egalley of The Boy is Back in time, now I have to buy it so I can read it. Hope you have a great week!

  7. Oh no on the ick! The herd kitties here sympathize. Our weather went full out winter this week and holy cow it messed with their little systems. 80 to 39…mean! Hope yall are all feeling better soon!

  8. I hope you feel well quickly. I want to read Holding Up the Universe in the worse way and I am so happy to see you liked it. Have wonderful week. 🙂

  9. We always have earthquake drills because we’re in the “ring of fire”, but thankfully we haven’t had an earthquake in a while *knocks on wood*!

  10. I hate being cold and hate having one even more. I am lucky and rarely get sick.
