Sunday Post (195) / Stacking the Shelves (175)

sundaypostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hello, Jackie here,

I had plans to do all the fun things this week because work was doing fumigation, which meant I didn’t have to work the entire week…but I didn’t do fun things. Usually I make plans but end up not doing it because I rather just be lazy and sleep in when I get the chance to which is a rare adult thing. So mostly this week was all about food, reading, knitting, and more family and food stuff. No major catastrophes happened unless you count trying to get through the crowds on Black Friday (it was nuts!) and vowing to never doing this again. We only looked around because we were in the area having our Thanksgiving dinner. I just wanted to get home and listen to the annual Nutcracker Suite on the classical radio station while reading, which I think is more fun and cozy (seriously shopping online in your PJs is the best thing). Hopefully those of you who were enough to brave the crowds and get through the neverending lines were able to get something good and finish your Christmas shopping early. Also, that you got to have good food with your families on Thanksgiving.

  1. Glad you survived Black Friday! I didn’t venture out but I will be trying to do most of my shopping online… we’ll see how that goes. 🙂 Hope you had a good Thanksgiving. I want to read Ever the Hunted…

  2. I went Black Friday shopping once and never went again. I did have to work in stores for it a few times though. Yay for Crooked Kingdom. I cannot wait to read it myself. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

  3. Never ever ever going Black Friday shopping. Glad you survived. Yup listening to the Nutcracker Suite while reading does sound nicer. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Yep. Gotta love shopping in our jammies! LOL I did venture out on Black Friday, but waited a while and missed the worst of the craziness. Now the race to Christmas begins.

  5. On-line PJ shopping is the only way I do black friday, I was almost able to finish everything and I am so excited about! I could live in my jammies if I didn’t have to work.

I hope you have a great week, Jackie! Happy Reading!

  6. Ahhhh, Black Friday is too much for me! I went to the mall in the *afternoon* on Friday, just browsing through, and it was madness. o_o I thought everyone did their Black Friday shopping on Thursday night, or Friday AM, but it was still crazy!

I hope you enjoy your new book! Have a lovely week. =)

  7. Enjoy your book, and have a great week!

  8. Sounds like a pretty nice week! I avoided the crowds this year. It really can be a mad house out there. Whew!

  9. We don’t even celebrate Thanksgiving in November here, but because everyone loves a sale (and because most of our stores are American anyway), we’ve started having Black Friday sales here, too! Which just means it’s another day for me to avoid the malls, yikes!
