Sunday Post (197) / Stacking the Shelves (177)

sundaypostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Ahoy all, Cyn here!

I’m taking over for Jackie this week, since she’s off having fun on vacation! I was just saying I haven’t had a chance to talk to you guys but now here we are! I can’t believe it’s already December! And almost midway at that!

Let’s see, I recently finished my Master’s degree (now looking for jobs) and I went on a bunch of trips! I’ve got a bunch of pictures HERE at my update (:

I’ve been doing a pretty terrible job at Christmas shopping, though I have general ideas so I just need to go and buy it. And usually it snows a ton where I’m at but we went from +10C to -35C so quickly it didn’t even get a chance to snow! So I keep thinking Christmas is still far away (even though it’s only 15 days away!)

I hope everyone is having a lovely winter, staying warm (or cool if in Australia and areas), reading good books and enjoying the holiday festivities!

  1. Congrats on your Master’s degree! It is a good feeling when you finish a stretch like that.

Enjoy your books, and I love the photos. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Nice pics! Halifax looks awesome and yum, love seafood. And Indonesia looks like a fabulous trip as well. It got cold here and we’re expecting a ton of snow tonight and tomorrow, but we’re not as cold as you are. Winter is definitely here though.

I need to go check your Gemina review! 🙂

  3. I wish I was on vacation like Jackie. I hope she’s having a great time. It’s good to hear from you again though, Cyn. Congratulations on finishing your masters! That is a huge accomplishment! I wish you the best with the job hunt. I can be quite stressful, but I am sure you will find something. Have a great week!

  4. Woohoo! Congrats on finishing your degree! That’s awesome 😀 And gah, I know about Christmas! It doesn’t seem like it should be almost here already. Eeps!

  7. HI Cyn *waves* Welcome back to the “real” world! Are you in shock yet? Super congratulations on completing your Masters Degree!!! And good luck with your job search 🙂

Dumb question: Do they have Amazon Prime in Canada? I would just get on the internet and buy all your Christmas presents. Sit and get it all done but make sure it’s in stock and two day delivery so no stress 😉

Awesome books this week. I might have a couple of them. But that YA Sherlock Holmes series escaped me this year so I might have to check it out!! It looks intriguing, even with the “medium” reviews. So glad I caught you nabbing the second book – thanks!!

Have a great week and stay warm!!!!!

  8. Congratulations on your Masters!! That’s huge! I hope job hunting goes well for you! I love your book photos. So pretty!

  9. Congrats on finishing your degree!!!! Great haul! I love the pictures!!!!! I’m terrible when it comes to Christmas shopping I’m such a slacker but if you ask my husband it’s because I’m a grinch lol. I don’t envy the cold weather but you missed the snow so that’s great. Sounds like you had a great week reading. Have a wonderful week! Happy reading! My Sunday Post

  12. Congrats on finishing your Master’s Degree! That’s such an amazing accomplishment. 🙂

  13. Congrats on finishing your Master’s! I’m honestly terrified to go back to school (at least with the current line of work). I know I wouldn’t be successful just due to time. I was behind the ball on gift shopping this year. I kept remembering things and would order something and I had about 8 different packages going between my house and my boyfriend’s. I finally have them all accounted for…now for the dratted wrapping.

  14. Huge congrats on getting your Masters 🙂 Thats such an achievement! Enjoy all your books and happy reading 🙂

  15. Ooo… Heartless and the Six Of Crows books! I want all of those. I will be dropping back to have a look at your travel photos. Have a wonderful week. 🙂

  16. I still need to get ahold of My Lady Jane. Hope you enjoy your new books.
