Sunday Post (33) / Stacking the Shelves (13)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It’s October! And I have the urge to bake apple and pumpkin desserts. If only I wasn’t so lazy…haha. Been sneaking in books and t.v around my classes., otherwise nothing too interesting this week.  The leaves are changing colours, and everything looks so pretty (: Only thing is it’s starting to get chilly haha. Hope everyone’s having a lovely autumn so far!

Avalon - Mindee Arnett(01) Avalon by Mindee Arnett

Thanks to Balzer & Bray & Edelweiss! I didn’t even know Mindee Arnett had a new series coming out! I enjoyed The Nightmare Affair, so I figured I’d give this a try too. I’ve been feeling kinda sci-fi-y. Also, the cover is badass, I wouldn’t resist.

Pawn - Aimee Carter(02) Pawn by Aimee Carter

Thanks to Harlequin Teen & Netgalley! Like I mentioned in my WoW, I totally caved when this should up on Netgalley haha. I’m happy I got approved for this! Can’t wait to check it, the advance reviews have me intrigued.

Entwined - Kristin Callihan(03) Entwined by Kristin Callihan

Thanks to Forever & Netgalley! Hallelujah! Something to tied me over while I wait for Shadowdance! I’m going a little stir-crazy waiting for it. This sounds like such a cute read (I love pen pal stories!) and this cover, soooo gorgeous or what!?

My Ex From Hell - Tellulah Darling(04) My Ex From Hell Tellulah Darling

Thanks to AToMR Tours. I’ve started this book already and it’s pretty funny. It’s been a while since I’ve done mythology but this is a good reminder of why I enjoy it (: In case you’re wonder Sophie’s date is really from Hell (literally) since he’s Hades’ son aha.

My Date From Hell - Tellulah Darling(05) My Date From Hell Tellulah Darling

(Thanks again AToMR) Oh, book 2! I’m doing both for the tour. Book 2 is released OCT 31, just in time for Halloween. Hopefully this one is just as fun as the first so far!

I’m not a fan of the cooler weather, but I do love October. Great haul!

    1. me either, but I love the colours. Thanks for stopping by (:

  3. Have you tried President’s Choice’s Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream? It’s pretty good lol. Definitely helps to satisfy the pumpkin cravings.

Ah! The My Ex from and My Date from Hell looks interesting! I am a fan of mythology in books, hopefully it’s good! The last mythology-related book I read was Gods Behaving Badly and that was a lot of fun.

    Have a nice week!

    1. No I haven`t but that does sound yummy! I just found a sweet pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust that has me drooling, might need to make that haha.

It`s pretty cute so far! I just started the second one and I`m still enjoying it.

    1. Thanks! I`m excited to start haha.

  6. I am almost finished with Pawn, about 70% down on the kindle and so far I am loving it. Has elements of other dystopian books I enjoyed; like The Selection, Legend, Divergent and The Declaration but also provides something new and unique to the genre. It’s really great so I hope you get to read it soon.

Glass @ Way Too Hot Books

    1. I really enjoyed it, maybe possibly more than Lost & Found, or rather i enjoyed it for different reasons. I skipped over Near & Far but I’ll get back to it at some point haha. I should hopefully have a review for it up soon.

  8. ok – I just completely snorted my coffee when I saw the “How Not to Be A Dick”. Some titles just don’t need explanations – but … childrens? Dang.
I’m curious about the From Hell series – I’ve been debating picking that one up…
    Nice haul – happy reading

    1. The cover enticed me haha. Also, the synopsis tells me “a great match for fans of Joss Whedon’s cult hit show Firefly” which I’m a fan of too (:

  13. Ha, I have dug out all the pumpkin recipes I can find. My husband will be tired of it all soon enough. lol… Enjoy your new books.
