STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

IMG_2498IMG_2500(01) Horde by Ann Aguirre

Looky what I won! Thanks Anne Aguirre & FBF for this awesome signed copy! It was very exciting and it arrived this the mail this week. I haven’t read the razorland series yet, but looks like I have a reason to check it out now (as soon as a grab the first two books haha)

Into the Dark - Bree Despain(02) Into the Dark by Bree Despain

Thanks EgmontUSA & Edelweiss! This was my WoW last week & thanks to everyone telling me it was on EW, I ran off to grab it. Yay for mythology being back for 2014!

The Real Prom Queens of Westfield High - Laurie Boyle Crompton(03) The Real Prom Queens of Westfield High by Laurie Boyle Crompton

Thanks Sourcebook Fire! I’m really excited for this book, it sounds like a fun read with a mix of reality tv, prom queens and high school shenanigans. I enjoyed Crompton’s Blaze (or Love in the Time of Supervillains) so I can only hope her sophomore book is just as fun. Also, such a bright colour cover! PS. There’ll be a blog tour for this. So expect a review Jan 13. Maybe an author interview too!

The Unseemly Education of Anne Merchant - Joanna Wiebe(04) The Unseemly Education of Anne Merchant by Joanna Wiebe

Thanks BenBella Books & Netgalley. I’m always for supporting Canadian authors. This sounds like a cool/spooky book. I mean she’s in a school, on a small island, with creepy things happening! And there’s a good looking senior student! Count me in! I like the cover too.

  15. Whoa — did you say 40 below??? It was 32 degrees here today and I was complaining. I guess I should be grateful!!
Yeah, Promise of Amazing was not exactly what I expected. I think the cover and the title suggested something completely opposite than what the story actually was, and that threw me off quite a bit.
    Good luck on those exams!!
    Jen @ YA Romantics

    1. Yup! -40, well Celsius, which I think is actually the same was -40F haha. We were actually quite lucky it only got this cold now, usually it’s around that in early November ):
Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to it’s title. Too bad.
      Thanks!

  16. I want to start the Horde series !! I wasn’t really interested in it, but lately I’ve been hearing a ton of great things so I think I will pick up the first book 🙂 Great haul… I hope you enjoy all your books!!!

  18. Nice haul! I hope you enjoy them. That is too cold for me. Brrr.
