Stacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.
I finally made it to Edelweiss to grab some books.
(01) Vivian Divine is Dead by Lauren Sabel
Thanks Katherine Tegen Books & Edelweiss! This book sounds like it’ll be both serious and hilarious (hopefully). Also, I quite entertained by the cover.
(02) (Don’t You) Forget About Me by Kate Karyus Quinn
Thanks Harper Teen & Edelweiss! I was definitely excited when this guy popped up! This was my WoW a while back & it still sounds good! The Pied Piper feel totally adds that extra creepy tone on top of the already cult-ish/paranormal scariness!
(03) The Last Best Kiss by Claire LaZebnick
Thanks Harper Teen & Edelweiss! So this is a YA contemporary play on Jane Austen’s Persuasion! How adorable, I love the cover. I’ve read LaZebnick’s Epic Fail (the re-imagination of Pride and Prejudice) and it was quite adorable, so high hopes for this.
Thanks Sourcebook Casablanca & Netgalley! So this is the final book the the Jewel of the Ton Series. The first two books were pretty enjoyable and I’m always up up for a Regency spy romance! Oh I almost forgot, I wrote a sorta useless review of If You Give a Rake a Ruby (Book 2) a while back. Since it was a Book & Munchies post, there’s food pictures at least!
(05) Sleepless by Tracey Ward
Thanks Lite-Rate-Ture! I received this for a blog tour. I actually already read this for the End of the Year 2013 Readathon. It was pretty crazy. Definitely an interesting almost superhero/romance book. I need to be more aware of if books are the first in a series…
a bum OT, procrastinator. reader. eater. sleeper. music listen-er. movie go-er. Loves food too much.
