Sunday Post (45) / Stacking the Shelves (25)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a wonderful holiday! I always think I’ll get more reading done during the break but fact is holiday time is a big social time, so I end up hanging out people instead of read (which isn’t bad thing). Though my friends and I have started a book club, so now I can socialize and read. I love my friends (: My sisters got me a new bookshelf which I was in desperate need of so I’m happy! Anyway, Happy New Year and hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable one this week! Yay to 2014!

STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

Firstly, my new bookshelf (:

It’s the Christmas edition! Some presents & some books I treated myself to (:

IMG_2539(01) These Broken Stars by A. Kaufman & M. Spooner
(02) Pivot Point by Kasie West
(03) Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers
(04) Siege and Storm by Leigh Burdugo
(05) The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp
(06) For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund
(07) A Night Like This by Julia Quinn

My books to myself/presents came in! Of course I had to pick up a copy of These Broken Stars, because the cover is so pretty! And I’ve been meaning to read Pivot Point for a while, so here’s my chance. Picked up For Darkness shows the Star b/c the cover was pretty. My friend got  me The Spectacular Now, because she wanted us to discuss the ending. How ominous. haha. And A Night Like This is a gift for my friend b/c I’ve gotten her Just Like Heaven for her bday. And copies of Siege and Storm and Dark Triumph b/c I love them!
